Of deers and men

Bushy Park was a colourful mixture of birds, deers and people with their dogs, - many freaked out because of the ice, which has probably formed during the night for the first time this Autumn. Swans had a particular trouble of getting out of the water through the ice and walking. I was sketching, Dina was taking pictures.

A good book to read

I picked this book for the second time (the first time I only looked at the pictures), now I wanted to read about Grosz' life, and also about the time he lived in. And there was a lot going on in Germany between  1893 and 1959, I must tell you.

Lots of violence today

Today's cartoon was about the Mikhail Beketov, a violently beaten up (and mutilated!) journalist who suffered for doing his job. Story by Olaf Koens, photograph is from RIA Novosti archive :
